Fujairah

Fujairah

The most eastern Emirate boasts a particularly varied scenery. Fortresses, castles, small villages and fabulous beaches are just some among of the impressive characteristics of its territory

Its beautiful and particularly spectacular landscape, and its winding roads (a good part of the territory is mountainous) are typical characteristics of Fujairah, which is decidedly particular because it is the only one of the Emirates which does not overlook the Persian Gulf, but rather the Gulf of Oman and consequently the Indian Ocean.

The waterfalls and enchanting, uncontaminated beaches are the main attraction both for tourists coming from abroad and for citizens of the United Arab Emirates, and it is also a favourite destination for diving enthusiasts, because it is possible to admire the incredible undersea world in this area.

Though the economy is founded on fishing, agriculture and tourism, over the last ten years or more, has gradually gained position, becoming one of the Emirate’s main resources and offering avant garde services in fascinating natural settings.
