Yas Island
Though an Island, Yas Island is perfectly “set” in the coastline linking Abu Dhabi and Dubai, at about 24 kms from the centre of the capital and 110 from Dubai, and can be reached easily by motorway and fast flowing roads. It is only since 2007 that it has begun to develop as an area dedicated to tourism and entertainment; at the moment, apart from the already renowned Yas Marina Circuit, which each year in November hosts the final of the Formula 1 F1™ Gran Prix, there are, already operational, the futuristic Yas Hotel, six other hotels belonging to big international chains, Yas Links (the golf courses “links”, the oldest type of golf, usually located, as in this case, near the coast) and Ferrari World, the very extensive theme park dedicated to the Italian car manufacturer offering an irresistible series of attractions. Other luxury hotels, tourist ports, golf courses, restaurants, cinemas, theme parks and exclusive attractions will shortly be added within the Yas Island territory which is gradually transforming itself into one of the most universally recognized icons of Abu Dhabi.
Just opened at the end of October 2010, Ferrari World is exclusive to Abu Dhabi, which has thus desired to establish a strong, direct tie with a product (and the world which revolves around it) which shares the Emirate capital’s great refinement, class, charm and sophistication. This is a twinning which is rich in elective affinities, and which has begun to produce extraordinary results even before it being fully realized.
Admired from the skies, Ferrari World presents itself as a spectacular place: in effect, it reproduces the characteristic emblem of the prancing horse. Its vast surface hosts an incredible range of attractions, divided according to thematic area.

Here they come, the drivers of the future! They’ll start by watching an instructive film, thanks to which they’ll gather many secrets, to then jump on board a reduced scale 430 GT Spider. The first rule that they will learn is that of how to drive their first real Ferrari with maximum safety! They will then discover how to weave their way among road signs, traffic lights, crossroads and roundabouts. An experience which will offer them a unique form of entertainment, and which will in the future be particularly useful for them when they begin their real driving school experience.

Shops and Restaurants at the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
The world of Ferrari couldn’t do without restaurants inspired by the irresistible cuisine of Italy, alongside the international offer. A range of specialties from Italian tradition, from starters to desserts. A succulent occasion for discovering the marvels of Italian cuisine or for tasting again the characteristic delights of the “Bel Paese”. Buon Appetito, Mamma Rossella, Ristorante Cavallino, Il Podio, Rosticceria Modena, Espresso Rosso and Pit Stop are open from midday to late in the evening, offering refreshment, a recharging of Energy or a rich tuck-in at all hours!
A little shopping, at last, completes the range of attractions and facilities available at Ferrari World, where the day passes in no time at all and the desire to take home a souvenir or to make a present of a symbol from the world of the Prancing Horse make themselves felt: Ferrari Store and Ferrari Past & Present offer a very wide choice of clothing reproducing the pilots’ suits, alongside exclusive sportswear with the Ferrari label, reproductions of Ferraris in all sizes, in interactive areas for play and entertainment and a vast area devoted to really special souvenirs.
Opening Times & Tickets
By and large, Ferrari World is open from Sunday to Wednesday from 12.00hrs to 22.00hrs, while at the weekend, or rather, from Thursday to Saturday, it is open from 12.00hrs to midnight. When there are special events, opening times can vary (for example, anticipating opening to 10.00hrs).
The cost of general entrance tickets is based on height: General Admission Junior Tickets for toddlers and young children below one and a half metres in height (babies up to 3 years free), while normal General Admission Tickets are for all visitors over one and a half metres. These tickets allow access to a good number of games, attractions and dedicated areas. However, for others, a supplementary ticket is required, which is included in another category of entrance ticket, the Premium Admission tickets, which are also divided according to height category. With these, access is unlimited for everything inside Ferrari World.
General Admission tickets cost € 34 each (AED 165) for Juniors and € 46,30 each. (AED 225) normal, while Premium Admission tickets cost respectively € 55.50 each (AED 270) and € 77 each (AED 375).
